We’ve all seen the short videos on social media: the cat who raises a flock of baby chicks as her own; the golden retriever who instinctively protects the 8 year old from an aggressive neighborhood dog. There are countless examples of animals behaving according to their natural instincts. But what about when humans are triggered to do the same—perhaps it’s a case of road rage or a competitive colleague vying for the promotion promised to you. Our animal instincts can cause us to step up, for better or for worse. Either way, there’s likely a story in it.
On Friday, September 13th, The Monti opens its curated season, and we are looking for your story about about moments in your life where you ignored the gatekeepers of civility and let your animal out of the cage.
