Alissa is a lover of adventure and has made it her life’s mission to seek out unconventional experiences in the wilderness. However, motherhood brought her a newfound sense of self-preservation, and she now finds storytelling to be a safer yet equally terrifying alternative to hitchhiking across the Sahara. Alissa has been a leader in the organic food industry for over a decade, and when she’s not busy orchestrating the organic tortilla trade or negotiating peace treaties between her children, she enjoys mountain biking with her fluffy labradoodle, playing ukulele, travelling, and writing. After journeying all over the world, Alissa decided Hillsborough, NC was the greatest place to make home. She now resides there with her drum playing husband and 2 rowdy boys, where she can be found wearing noise cancelling headphones while cooking the next meal.
