Tom is a North Carolina writer with California roots. Until moving to Carrboro at age 40, he’d never lived anywhere for more than 3 years. He’s worked a variety of jobs, so many in fact, that you might think he’s been on the lam: roofer, short-order cook, Alaskan stevedore, forklift driver, Napa Valley wine-cellar assistant, running store owner, archaeologist, voice-over talent, race announcer, visual artist, antique picker, bartender, and middle school special education teacher in Los Angeles.
