Storytellers

Sam grew up in an old farmhouse in Angier, NC and spent a lot of time playing outside. He wound up in Raleigh in 2010, and still tries to play in the woods or water as much as possible: trailing behind his wandering daughter, paddling an old canoe with his crafty wife, training for trail triathlons, or annoying locals with his subpar surfing. In the same vein, Sam has found that elementary school counseling is his dream job until he grows up. The kids at his school make him proud almost every day, not to mention happy and laughing. He tries to return the favor as much as possible, sometimes resorting to puppet shows, absurd character costumes (that he insists are not actually him), and imaginary dinosaur scenarios. Sam’s dream day would include two breakfasts, mountain biking, a taqueria, an audiobook or board game about aliens, and his whole family.
