Mary Guiteras

Seeker of all things fun

Mary Guiteras

Mary was born and raised on the mean streets of Chapel Hill. She moved to New York to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Art and from there was a founding member The New Ensemble and did extensive work at The People’s Improv Theatre. She then realized that New York City is no place to live when you’re in your 30s so she moved to New Orleans. There she became a member of the New Orleans Shakespeare Festival and founded Live Girls, an all lady improv comedy group. Her greatest accomplishment there was creating a Mardi Gras marching krewe called Honey, I Blew Up The King Cake Baby and marching in the Chewbaccus parade. Now back in her NC, she’s building her own multi media production, Dollar Field Productions, focused on the stories of North Carolina. www.dollarfield.org
