Storytellers

Lynn is the author of two novels: The Piano Teacher (2004) and The Sweet Life (2007, a Booksense Notable Book). These companion novels, chronicling the joys and indignities of a latter-day romance in a small town, are set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge where York grew up. Educated at Duke University and the University of Texas at Austin, she worked in the international telecommunications industry in Washington, DC before returning to her native North Carolina. She now lives in Chapel Hill and teaches workshops at NC State, High Point University and Duke’s Osher Institute. Her website is www.lynnyork.com.
