Kathleen McDonald
Standup Comedian
Kathleen McDonald is a rising standup comedian, producer, and teacher. She has opened for Cameron Esposito in the first stop of her "Person of Consequence Tour" at the Pinhook in 2018 and for Emo Philips in the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival in 2017. As one of “founding sisters” of Eyes Up Here Comedy, she regularly performs and produces showcases which primarily feature female-identifying line-ups in widely popular shows all around North Carolina. She is the founder of the “Women Do Standup” workshops, which are aimed at mentoring and supporting aspiring female-identifying and non-binary comics and promoting more equal representation in standup line-ups. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of North Carolina. She and her husband live at their cat’s house in Chapel Hill.
