Jelisa Castrodale is a freelance writer who has learned a lot about life by making a mess of her own. She has covered sports, technology, music and pop culture on both sides of the Atlantic, working for NBC Sports, MSN, BitchBuzz and others. She attended Wake Forest University where she studied Communication and Theatre, a decision that continues to delight her parents. As a stand-up comic, she had the honor of touring with Armed Forces Entertainment and has performed for every branch of the U.S. military. When she isn’t talking about herself in the third person, Castrodale is working on a book of essays, wears t-shirts for unpopular rock bands and lives in Winston-Salem.
