Storytellers

Harry Payne is a Raleigh-based attorney who served our state as legislator and Commissioner of Labor. He was then appointed and served seven years as the CEO of the North Carolina Employment Security Commission. He is married to Ruth Sheehan and they have three wonderful sons. Currently he is executive director of Toxic Free NC a 30 year-old non-profit focused on defending us from health and environmental damage caused by toxic chemicals and the abuse of the environment that we depend upon. Payne loves to write but finds story-telling a great new test and joy.
