George Singleton
Author of Work Shirts for Madmen
George Singleton has published four collections of short stories (These People Are Us, the Half-Mammals of Dixie, Why Dogs Chase Cars, Drowning in Gruel); two novels (Novel, Work Shirts for Madmen); and one book on writing advice (Pep Talks, Warnings, and Screeds, illustrated by Daniel Wallace). His fiction has appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, Harper’s, Oxford American, Playboy, Georgia Review, Zoetrope, Southern Review, Glimmer Train, Carolina Quarterly, and so on.
