Storytellers

Emily Brockman is a Duke University senior. Born to a caucasian father and a Yup’ik Indigenous mother, she was raised in the Alaskan bush. She worked as a student teacher in the English department at Jordan High School in Durham this spring. After completing her degree at Duke, Emily plans to return to Alaska to work in education and build community through storytelling. Emily is fond of running, scrabble, and over-caffeinating.
