Curtis Taylor
Professor of Economics, Duke
Curtis Taylor is a professor at Duke University, whose research focuses on game theory and its applications. As a child, Curtis was afflicted with a form of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis that left him completely blind from the age of 19.Despite this, he is something of an exercise fanatic, having completed several marathons and a summer-long cross-country bicycle trip. He is an avid swing dancer, and a terrible beer snob. In addition to storytelling, Curtis also enjoys alpine skiing, traveling, and cooking. He is the father of three (mostly adult) children: Rhianna, Austin, and Nathan, and currently resides in Carrboro, NC with his lovely wife, Lisa, and their ridiculous little dog, Fig. Curtis often says that he feels lucky to have so many great friends, and such an interesting life.
