Storytellers

Cat Dean was born right here in Chapel Hill. She graduated from the University of North Carolina, joined the workforce, and raised two daughters all by herself. Until early 2020, she was also an actor, a martial artist, and a world traveler. But then the pandemic shut it all down, and she was left twiddling her thumbs. So when a friend asked if she’d like to join an online “narrative storytelling” group she enthusiastically said, “Yes!” without knowing what a “narrative story” was. It was a social outlet in a socially isolated world. But, once she started crafting and telling stories, she was hooked.

The pandemic is in our rearview mirror now. So, Cat is back to her karate. Back to her theater. Back to traveling. But, she’ll never stop telling stories!
