Before settling down to teach AP English and psychology, Carol spent two years backpacking around the world, which was not as glamorous as it might sound. For forty-two years, she led groups on international trips. An award-winning artist and a signature member of the North Carolina Watercolor society, she currently teaches watercolor painting to adults at Durham Arts Council, OLLI, her home studio and other venues. She is the author and illustrator of The Sock Drawer Mouse, available on Amazon. Her instructional DVD is Watercolor: Loose and Tight.
