Angus MacLachlan
Screenwriter, Junebug and Stone
Angus MacLachlan graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts Drama School. He has performed in various productions including Children of a Lesser God, The Tempest, and Angels in America. He has appeared in the films Reuben Reuben, and Goodbye Solo. Angus has also written several prize-winning plays including The Dead Eye Body, Bridge and The Radiant Abyss. He wrote the screenplay for the feature Junebug, which was selected for the Dramatic Competition for the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. The film was listed on over 50 Top Ten lists for 2005 including Roger Ebert, NY Times, LA Times and NPR. His original screenplay, Stone, starring Robert Deniro, was filmed and released in October, 2010. He has written for the Lives column of the New York Times Magazine and lives in Winston-Salem with his wife and daughter.
