Andrew Aghapour is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Religious Studies at UNC Chapel Hill. Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, he attended the College of Charleston and went on to receive an M.Phil in the History and Philosophy of Science from Cambridge University. His research focuses on religion and the brain, and he teaches classes that explore how religion intersects with science, popular culture, secularism, and SciFi. Andrew teaches stand up comedy at the DSI Comedy Theater in Chapel Hill, where he is also on the improv team MISTER DIPLOMAT. He lives in Durham with his wife, feral cat, and stupid dog.
