Abby Seeskin Bwsq

Abby Seeskin, raised in St. Louis, has always been fascinated by the written word. As a kid, she camped out in the corner of her Kindergarten classroom, writing stories about her Swedish doll’s life on the Minnesota plains, though she had never been to Minnesota. Later, she actually did move to Minnesota for college, where she was proud to attend at least one lutefisk hotdish potluck. She then moved to Durham to complete a Ph.D. in English, and she is pleased to say she survived that experience, thank you very much. Over much of the last decade, she has taught literature and writing to high schoolers in Texas and North Carolina. She now lives in Durham with her wife, Rachel, and their son, Ansel. She is currently working on a book project exploring the strange and delightful journeys of queer parenthood.
