Abby Seeskin
Writer and educator
Abby Seeskin was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Though she spent her high school days dreaming of an escape from the Midwest, she ended up choosing to go to Macalester College in Minnesota. She never regretted that decision. In 2011 she moved to Durham to start a Ph.D. in English; in 2012 she met Rachel; in 2016 she married Rachel; in 2017 she graduated from Duke. She has since decided to pursue a career teaching high school English. While she navigates the job market, she enjoys dreaming of various sitcom pilots she could write, knitting small garments for tiny children in her life, and teaching her dog a dance routine to Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
