Now Accepting Pitches for 'Dirty Little Secrets' on November 20, 2026

We all have our secrets. Sometimes it’s small, like indulging in a vice you’ve told everyone you’ve kicked or partaking in an embarrassing hobby you don’t want anyone to know about. Sometimes it’s earth-shattering - a crime committed, a secret affair, or hidden debts with devastating consequences. Whether brought to the light or left unspoken, those dirty little secrets have a huge impact on how we see ourselves and others. On November 20th, we invite you to step onto the stage and reveal those secrets to the world. Whether you are sharing how you’ve been impacted by someone else’s secrets or seeking absolution for your own, the truth shall set you free.

Submitting your pitch

If you feel that you have a story that would be a good fit for Dirty Little Secrets, send a 200-word pitch to The Monti by emailing pitch@themonti.org before Wednesday, October 21st. One of our producers will read the pitch and respond to you promptly. There is no guarantee that we will accept your pitch. We may ask follow-up questions or make comments on what has been presented.

If we like your pitch, we will pass it along to our Executive Director, Jeff Polish, and our team will meet to discuss the collection of submissions. If your pitch is selected for our November 20th show, we will work collaboratively with you to develop your story and performance.

We will aim to make our decisions and notify selected storytellers by Friday, October 23rd.

A good pitch is one that tells us:

  1. What happens in the story.
  2. How the character(s) change as a result of the action in the story.
  3. What you think the story is about.

It's ok if you don't have all the answers. If the pitch is compelling enough, we will help you to develop the structure and flow.

Send your 200-word pitch to pitch@themonti.org.
